…the blog would not be complete if it didn’t include one of the most innovative, tastemaker boutiques out there – Opening Ceremony.
With store locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, Opening Ceremony has rapidly excelled into one of the most notable, fashion forward, and influential retailers since launching in 2002. I have been to each of the US boutiques (and maybe it is because I live in LA) I am partial to the store on La Cienga in West Hollywood. Bottom line – I love this place.
Housing beyond amazing designers, this location is an astounding 10,000 square feet and was the former dance studio space to Hollywood icon Charlie Chaplin. This store boosts room after room creating shop in shop concepts of jaw dropping fashion from numerous designers including Acne, Alexander Wang, Band Of Outsiders, Carven, Christopher Kane, Comme Des Garcons, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, The Row, Vena Cava, along with my personal favorite, the Opening Ceremony Collection (OC x Chloe Sevigny and Rodarte for OC) and many more.
Twist and turn down the hallways, into each room, up the stairs, living through the stories of each collection and you will see why Opening Ceremony is a force to be reckoned with. Not only will you uncover the hard to find pieces you have been coveting, you will find pieces you never dreamed of – and just a note of warning – this will happen every time you step inside.
