my afternoon with oscar de la renta: wedding dress shopping continues…

…after spending our morning at Monique (yesterday’s post!) and refueling on a delicious lunch at Taste (another neighborhood fave), we walked over to the one and only, Oscar de la Renta boutique. I had tweeted OscarPRgirl as she said they would have the best selection of dresses and she certainly did not steer me wrong…

Walking into Oscar to shop for a wedding dress pretty much turned my sister and I into two giddy school girls. I have been in this boutique before, but this time, as we were looking for “THE” dress, it was a completely different experience. The boutique on Melrose Place is so elegant and everything you would imagine an ODLR boutique to be. It is very open and airy with ivy growing over the cobblestone, giving it that added allure of luxury and charm.

The wedding collection is in a beautiful little corner towards the back of the store - which means you get to ooooh and awww over everything that you walk by. (Ummm, the shoe table?!? Such a problem!) As you make your way into the bridal area, you are almost blinded by the beautiful array of white gowns. Literally every dress in there will make your heart race. From organza to lace and chiffon, every little detail, ruffle, and bow is truly exquisite. I worked with Joanne, who was amazing, and had the perfect accessory suggestion to go with every dress – including the little rose stiletto beauties below…
