luxury boutique code c is unlike any other in sunset plaza…

chic, contemporary, california, couture…these were all words that came to mind (and happen to start with the letter c) one morning over breakfast when husband and wife team, Andrea and Marzia Rossetto, were trying to name their sunset plaza boutique. With years of retail experience and numerous fashion houses under their belt, Code C opened just over 2 years ago and is my new found obsession!

a new sunset fave

Code C is a beautiful boutique located in the heart of Sunset Plaza. It’s interior is very open and airy (which I love!) creating a sharp focus on the luxury pieces they carry. But Code C is very unique with a clear and concise concept – instead of offering multiple lines and mixing labels, they houses 7 to 8 complete collections per season from amazing designers like Vivienne Westwood, Victor & Rolf, Hysteric Glamour, Habitual Denim, D Squared, AlpineStars, and local LA designer, Valerj Pobega. I’m talking start to finish – the complete collection. You know this is a problem for me!

With a the focus on these select labels, Code C gives life to a designers point of view. It’s almost a shop in shop concept, but merchandised perfectly on beautiful custom displays. The white walls are the backdrop for the ever changing canvas of the store and also showcases art work that compliment the collections. The artists are local and rotate every two months.

On top of amazing shopping, one of the biggest reasons I adore Code C is for the customer service – another important c word. Andrea and Marzia are quite possibly the sweetest couple I have ever met and they are more like gracious hosts than boutique owners. I felt right at home as if I was shopping in a friend’s closet – complete with an offer of cappuccino or a glass of champagne!

This boutique is the perfect example of why I write my blog – surrounding yourself with things that make you happy. And for me, Code C is that retail heaven – classy, captivating, choice designers, and a complete shopping experience.

Code C is everything you describe it to be, including the warm gracious hospitality and depth of knowledge of the owners. My better half and I have stopped in Code C a couple of times together and ended up staying for a couple of hours. I was consigned to one of the husband’s proverbial waiting/judgeing chairs to wait the wait. Each time, within a few minutes, Andrea approached me and offered refreshment. I spoke with him each time for several minutes. He told me a bit about the way the store — and its name — came into being and a bit about the experience in the clothes business of both Marzia/s and his. They indeed know tons about the business and as far as I could tell, raised the shopping experience for women to a new level. There is, however, a small problem created by Code C: Each time my wife leaves the house to shop, knowing that’s code for Code C, I make her promise to limit her visits to half an hour. I suspect those visits last a bit longer. However, what she comes home with her new apparel it always makes her look more attractive than she is naturally; it’s always a win/win for us.
