…it’s really hard to deny that Decades/Decades Two on Melrose is my ultimate favorite store in the world. For those of you that have never been, go there immediately! I’m serious – get in your car, book a flight – whatever you need to do to visit this posh paradise. **WARNING: visiting regularly can create very bad habits!
My personal heaven - Decades and Decades Two
Decades/Decades Two is the most beautiful, luxury consignment boutique I have ever been in. Decades Two is downstairs and then through a separate entrance and up a flight of stairs, there is Decades. It is truly the stairway to couture heaven.
So what is the difference you ask? Decades is home to the most stunning, significant, perfectly edited selection of vintage couture dresses you will ever find – anywhere. And I stand by my statement. It truly doesn’t get any better than this. Vintage YSL, Halston, Chanel, Gucci, Oscar De La Renta, Pucci, Lanvin – you name it! Many Hollywood elite shop for here for red carpet couture looks – it’s that one of a kind, statement making, night you will remember because you are going to take home the Oscar, dress. And did I mention the vintage jewelry…I was in a Chanel blur of beautiful pieces. It was painful to leave because I wanted it all.

Decades Two is more contempary, but nothing less than amazing – Chanel, Balenciaga, YSL, Marchesa, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Jenni Kayne…dresses, jackets, tops, skirts, pants, shoes, handbags…you name it. Just to give you an idea of what can happen during an innocent afternoon stop by – it was my very first Decades Two experience (probably about 4 years ago) and I found a pair of gorgeous Lanvin black patent stiletto booties (a smidge too big, but who will know). To top it off, there was also a pair of amazing black leather Chanel ankle booties (this time my size). Both had never been worn and both were calling my name. Needless to say, two pairs of booties were added to the closet that day.

Cameron and Christos are the owner and co-owner of this retail haven – both always dressed to perfection and a pleasure to catch up with every time I see them. It’s no wonder this store is such a success. And then Megan is my glam rock go to girl. She is a sweetie and always head to toe fabulous. She always lets me know when amazing pieces come in.
So no matter what you’re looking for, if you have the craving to do a little afternoon shopping and love any one of the designers I mentioned above (and there are soo many more), make this a regular stop. Your Amex will hate me, but you’ll look like a million bucks.
