…so I stumbled on this little store thanks to one of my girlfriends and the help of 16 degree New York weather! We had brunch last weekend at Essex House (a bit chaotic, but delicious) and wanted to do a little boutique shopping afterwards. Well once stepping foot outside, we quickly realized Mother Nature did not see this as a shopping day. As we briskly walked back towards my hotel, I think our legs were about to freeze off when my friend suggested we pop into this quaint, vintage inspired (and warm!) jewelry store – Erica Weiner. Three words…love-love-love.
I have to be honest, I tend to be more of a shoe and handbag girl rather than a jewelry girl, but Erica Weiner might have single handedly changed that. The pieces in this store are so beautiful, have so much character, and are totally affordable – I seriously wanted everything.
Erica started making jewelry in 2005 and found, as she states on her website, “a never ending demand for locally made, affordable vintage-inspired jewelry, designed with a send of humor.”
I love that everything is handmade in NYC and about half the materials are vintage, dead stock and re-purposed. One more thing I love, 5% of all after-tax profit is donated to charities. Shopping that gives back – my favorite kind!
