…otherwise known in some circles as the mecca of all things amazing – this would definitely be the case in my circle! I am a big fan of Jeffrey and since I tend to do a lot of shopping (and eating) while in the meatpacking district, it was only a MUST that I share this heavenly destination with you.
Opened back in 1999, when this area of NYC was more of a ghost town than a shoppers’ paradise, Jeffrey Kalinsky redefined the idea of haute couture shopping by opening up his self named store. He was a shoe buyer at Barneys (my kind of guy) and decided to take his eye for fashion and start his own business. He opened his Atlanta store first in 1994 and then expanded to New York to open this second location.
Now there are few boutiques in the world that can carry the caliber of designers we often dream about, not to mention all under one roof. Jeffrey not only carries these collections, but this is THE place if you’re looking for limited edition pieces, color stories you have never seen before, and a shoe section that makes my boyfriend say (and I quote) “we’re in trouble.”
The well laid out store is filled with all your faves…Yves Saint Laurent, Rick Owens, Chanel, L’Wren Scott, Lanvin, Thakoon, Marni, Alia, Thom Browne, Helmut Lang, Christopher Kane, Balenciaga, Celine, Louboutin…you get my drift right?? And the sales staff is quite the added bonus – all trained to be a personal shopper for each and every customer.
From clothing and accessories to handbags and shoes, Jeffrey even has a well designed makeup counter and perfumery. You and I both know that no girl is complete without a red lip and a little spritz of Chanel.
Now if only they sold luggage so I could get all this stuff home…
