Taking the unveiling to an entirely different level this year, Bergdorf Goodman hosted a party so spectacular it included Linda Fargo, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, and a team of holiday dancers that scaled their way down the side of the department store. Hundreds of people turned out and filled the sidewalks to see the spectacular show regardless of the beyond freezing weather! Thankfully there was Bergdorf hot coco to the rescue!

 After the show Bergdorf held a private shopping event where 10% of the proceeds went to the amazing charity, New Yorkers For Children. Each floor hosted different mini events including book signings, trunk shows, and designer appearances. I had a chance to meet jewelry designer Eddie Borgo (love him) along with the stunning duo behind Cushnie et Ochs, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs. And now, with no further ado, feast your eyes on the 2013 Bergdorf holiday windows….

Kirna Zabête is always on my must-shop list when visiting New York City. Recently, I was in the Big Apple for work and had the chance to visit the new (and might I add beyond stunning) Broome Street location. With 10,000 square feet of retail space, this new shop is over double the size of its previous location. From the graphic black and white floors to the fuchsia Corinthian columns and 6-foot wide chandeliers, Kirna Zabête is filled with opulent fixtures and furnishings — and that’s just decor!

As for designer offerings, you will still find all your favorites from the former location — Céline, Givenchy, Azzedine Alaïa, Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, Erdem, Lanvin, Nicholas Kirkwood, Thakoon and Eddie Borgo, to name a few. But with all the extra space, Kirna Zabête has brought in a few more heavyweights for you to fall in love with, including Christian Dior, Valentino and Nina Ricci.

I have to admit, the first thing that caught my attention was the wall of Céline – oh wait, I’m sorry, I mean the THREE walls of Céline! One was located in the salon, the other behind the shoe floor, and the last, behind the glossy red, signature cash wrap. Accessories are my weakness and I always know Kirna Zabête will have something to take my breath away.

To top it off, the entryway features cheeky sayings written in bright colored lights. I mean, when I walk into a boutique and see a neon sign that says, “It is okay for me to have everything I want,” or, “Life is short, buy the shoes,” I know I’m in the right place!

When walking into the 4,000 sq ft Saint Laurent boutique, it is very apparent the vibe is minimalist meets modern vintage. Floor to ceiling monitors featuring the latest campaigns greet you at the door while further inside, sleek fixtures house the latest collections on specially designed hangers. To compliment, large glass museum-like cases hold beyond amazing jewelry and specialty items while vintage furniture comfort those who need to sit down – aka my man while he waited for me to finish up my “research”…

But the back wall was the grand finale with grey marble shelves creating the most stunning (and longest) display of accessories I have ever seen! It was mesmerizing – so many bags (the Duffle, Sac de Jour, Betty, Cabas Chyc) and shoes to choose from…

Even though it took a little longer than expected to open, it was well worth the wait. Stop in and see for yourself!

…ummm we majorly HEART Nick Wooster! As the former Fashion Director for heavyweight retailers Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Gilt Groupe, Nick is finally letting us in on his next exciting venture after his stint at JCP. On Friday, WWD announced the style icon and fashion industry pro has acquired stake in menswear retail boutique, Atrium. With stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Miami, the takeover will be focused only on the NYC locations and will begin rebranding with a new name, Atrium Wooster. As a veteran in the industry and more street style cred that one can imagine, Nick will serve as Creative Director and focus on bringing new designers into the store.

We love when boutiques reinvent themselves and with a creative powerhouse at the helm, it’s a guaranteed success! Sending our love and congrats to you NW…

Hands down the most talked about show of the week so far, the cutting edge retailer/designer took things to a whole new level for their first runway show. A fleet of luxury sports cars made their way out onto the runway carrying precious cargo – models clad in latest OC collection. As one of our favorite boutiques on the planet (we featured the LA store here), we would expect nothing less from designers and OC founders, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim!
