Not only did I soak up the sun, catch up on my fashion mags, and dye Easter eggs with the fam, I found an amazing boutique in Old Town La Quinta that I am newly obsessed with and dying to tell you about! Welcome to Elizabeth & Prince…

 

 

I came across this little gem a few months back, but I had yet to shop it until this weekend when I had a minor fashion emergency. Named after the shopping neighborhood that was the former home of the owners, Elizabeth & Prince carries a strong assortment of designers in a very cool, California chic atmosphere. I found pieces from A.L.C., Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone, Haute Hippie, but I also found some new designers to fall in love with! (Have you heard of Closed and Tysa?!? Love!)…

 

 

 

Elizabeth & Prince also carries a ton of amazing accessories from super cute jelly shoes by Melissa to brightly colored JadeTribe totes, beautiful jewelry, and so much more. They even have my favorite Voluspa candles – Laguna is the best!

 

 

 

 

Just a little note for all you beauties headin to Coachella, this lovely shop is literally 5 mins away from the Polo Fields! Feel free to indulge!

Who knew I was about to meet my new crush – The Fine Art of Design! This amazing store (on Highway 111) caught my eye as we drove home one night and, in true romantic fashion, it was love at first sight…

With a love of vintage and obvious amazing taste in fashion, this Parson’s grad, Nicolas Delgado, is sitting on a pretty little vintage gold mine! Opening The Fine Art of Design last July in his home town of Palm Desert, Nicolas purchases and consigns both vintage and high end designer labels.  Merchandised by garment type, it is beyond easy to get lost in all of the beautiful pieces…

The Fine Art of Design also hosts a great little book shop (the store actually started with books and then added in the fashion) which has amazing vintage paperbacks, coffee table books, and even old albums. I met both Nicolas and Katherine Martinez (book shopkeeper) while I was there and they truly couldn’t have been more adorable. It made me fall in love with this store even more.

Very similar to when I first met my boyfriend 4 years ago, I took an instant liking to The Fine Art of Design and couldn’t stop talking about it the rest of the weekend. Needless to say, I am anxiously awaiting my second date!
