Opening in the meatpacking district almost two years ago, Owen is not only pleasing to the eye with its designer offerings, but the stunning interior will certainly grab your attention. This 1,800-square-foot boutique houses brands like A.L.C., Cushnie et Ochs, Iro, Jenni Kayne, L’Agence, Jennifer Fisher, Tome and that’s just to name a few.  Owner and Ohio native, Phillip Salem, hand picks his designer mix (many of which are exclusive to the boutique) and puts an emphasis on customer service.

In addition to the designer eye candy, Owen has one of the most notable interiors I have ever seen. Using 25,000 paper bags to cover the wall and ceiling, you can’t help but be intrigued. (Look closer at the pictures above!) Needless to say, Owen is a regular stop during any NYC visit!

Originally opening on Melrose, this Los Angeles gem relocated about a year and a half ago to 3rd Street, one of the cutest shopping destinations in the city. With a modern and eye catching store front, this boutique is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.

Beckley has an open and airy feel with huge windows, concrete flooring and floating racks that hang from the ceiling.  The new space is a one-stop shop for clients and neighborhood friends selling everything from lingerie and evening gowns to skincare and mascara. Be prepared to find some of your favorite designers like Phillip Lim, Opening Ceremony and See by Chloe along with a few that you might not know, but will definitely fall in love with.  (Have you heard of O’2nd? It is gorgeous!). In addition, Beckley carries some of the best jewelry and accessories around including Eddie Borgo, Shy by Sydney Evan and Clare Vivier. Trust me, it’s hard to walk out of here empty handed!

And be sure to check out the house brand, Beckley By Melissa, designed by boutique owner, Melissa Akkaway. Created from luxe fabrics, this season includes rompers, leather leggings, jackets and one of my favorites, an off-the-shoulder neoprene sweatshirt.

Opening at the end of last year, this new location is the largest Curve boutique to date. The NoHo shop is 2500 square feet and blends interior elements like marble, glass, mirror, velvet and metal. It is open and airy with a modern yet luxurious vibe. Now for the designers: Curve houses over 35 amazing brands including Alexander Wang, Isabel Marant, IRO, Balmain, Valentino, Proenza Schouler, Jenni Kayne, and so many more. It is the perfect balance of emerging and well established brands across designer and contemporary price points.

As we are starting to see the first few signs of Spring (some cities more than others!), it’s only natural to start dreaming about the Summer – sun, surf, and sand. One of my favorite places to get plenty of all three is in Newport Beach. I am lucky enough to call this coastal destination my hometown and visit quite often. A few weeks back, I discovered a new boutique that has quickly become a favorite – welcome to Z collection!

Nestled in the Crystal Cove Promenade right on Pacific Coast Highway, Z Collection is the answer to all your chic, contemporary needs whether looking for an outfit or just feeling the need for something new. Just under a year old, this boutique boasts a beautiful interior mixing the elements of reclaimed wood, vintage décor, concrete flooring, and old black and white photographs. The designer selection is amazing too with collections from Iro, ALC, Elizabeth & James, Zoe Karssen, See by Chloe, Kimberly Ovitz, Loeffler Randal, Torn by Ronny Kobo, and Cut25, just to name a few.

And did I mention the beach is literally across the street? Shopping with an ocean view!

The Parisian brand, known for their luxurious and easy-to-wear basics, set up shop in their current West Hollywood location (pictured above) almost 7 years ago. Soon thereafter, designers like Kelly Wearstler, Theory, Helmut Lang, Joie, and Vera Wang followed suit in surrounding Melrose locations making the shopping destination what it is today. Now, A.P.C. is packing up shop and literally moving around the corner to Melrose Place – 8420 Melrose Place to be exact! The new space is 3,000 square feet and sits with neighbors like Isabel Marant, Equipment, Chloe, Oscar De La Renta and more. Construction is going on now and the boutique is set to open April, so stay tuned for updates!

Taking the unveiling to an entirely different level this year, Bergdorf Goodman hosted a party so spectacular it included Linda Fargo, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, and a team of holiday dancers that scaled their way down the side of the department store. Hundreds of people turned out and filled the sidewalks to see the spectacular show regardless of the beyond freezing weather! Thankfully there was Bergdorf hot coco to the rescue!

 After the show Bergdorf held a private shopping event where 10% of the proceeds went to the amazing charity, New Yorkers For Children. Each floor hosted different mini events including book signings, trunk shows, and designer appearances. I had a chance to meet jewelry designer Eddie Borgo (love him) along with the stunning duo behind Cushnie et Ochs, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs. And now, with no further ado, feast your eyes on the 2013 Bergdorf holiday windows….
